I took my whole family on the Imagination last year - 8 cabins - it was their yearly presents all rolled-up into one. We went out of Tampa for 5 nights and had a great cruise.

The Imagination is one of Carnival's older ships, although she is very well taken care of - nothing seemed to be wearing out or in need of replacement. She only has about 20 cabins with balcony's, and those are only in the suites, but even with her age, we found nothing lacking. The buffet gets crowded, but other than that I had no complaints. The food was OK - not great. The entertainment was the best of any ship I have been on - and we cruise at least twice a year, so that's a big endorsement. The bars and night clubs were a lot of fun.

By the way, you may not know that Carnival has the largest standard cabins of any cruise line - 185 sq. ft. compared to 155 - 175 on others.

Carnival delivered what it promised and we enjoyed our cruise, and I hope you do too!

I cruised on concept a stable 10 years in the past....extra. returned then it replaced right into a maximum suitable deliver. If it particularly is your first cruise and you're youthful and finding for an energetic trip, you need to have a great time. Carnival is a stable cruise line yet once you're finding for luxurious and positively great provider, i'd advise different cruise lines. That pronounced, I did the cruise on concept with 4 pals and had a great time.

We were on the Inspiration in 2000, at that time it was a beautiful ship. There were 13 of us that sailed from the ages of 5 months to 48, no one had any complaints. However since they have lowered the price of cruises I think they cut staff.

I have sailed on two of the Inspiration's sister ships, the Imagination and the Elation (Esctasy in another one in the same class). They aren't mega ships, but there is plenty of room for everyone. The Carnival website can give you specific information about each ship.
The ships are not brand new, but we had great times on board. The food was great and you have your choice of sit down dining or the buffet. We usually opted for the buffet. The main deck is a lot of fun, great pool and slide, and lot of activities.
Have fun!

Check out this link for Cruise Critic Member reviews of this ship:

I also like to check out their roll call board, you may be able to 'meet' other people that will be on the same cruise. Here is that link:

Don't know what to do for shore excursions, I always check out the boards on this website to see what others recommend. In other words, I love this website for cruise planning!
