"Allowed" is a heavy word, implying bondage and rules.

As a Christian, I would not advise it simply because my Christian beliefs are the foundations for many of my daily decisions and thoughts. If someone I was dating was not on the same page, it would be difficult to go in the same direction.

Is it allowed, sure. Is it smart, nope (at least not in my experience).

Its not a matter of being allowed. so much as trying to maintain a practice of faith and devotion. If you like to work out, it would make sense to have a mate who also works out to maintain your healthy life style. A person who is not in shape may be a distraction. That's not to say that they are a bad person, just that the lifestyles my contradict one another and hinder the practicing christian. Another issue is that if a christian and a non-christian have children, how will the children be raised?! once again, this is not an issue of superiority, but rather a common sense issue. I someone is a practicing christian, then it would make sense to marry another christian to help them keep the course, so to speak. To say allow means that there is some decry, that simply does not exist. The choice falls upon the individual to decide.
there are some who interpret this as lack of tolerance or respect. While in some cases that may be true, in doctrine, that is not true.

As a Christian, I'll only marry a Christian girl because we have the same belief. I'm dating a Christian girl right now and it's great. No matter how beautiful the girl is, I wont sleep with her if she's not a Christian.

Allowed yes. But other Christians frown on it unless the Christian member of the couple is actively trying to convert the other member.

For a Christian God should come first. If you date someone with another religion this could hinder your relationship with God. Depends you how strong your faith is.

in a free society yes.
but it was not always the case. Moses married an ethiopian and many of the elders disagreed.
but if you date someone that has a different belief, it is a guarantee that one of them is going to submit to the other, or there will always be contention when it comes to duties and obligations of community standards

Matt7:24
24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Build your marriage on the rock(Jesus +reading the Bible)that way when the storms come you will overcome together w/ Jesus.

Matt7:25-27
25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

If the dating ends in marriage there starts the problem of worshipping in their homes. about whom to worship and whom the child should follow. So it depends upon the individuals to decide whether it will work out or not.
