ive been using curling tongs and spray, but the curls only stay for half an hour to an hour. and i tried these green rollers from morissons last night, i did three and it didnt even curl them. unless im doing it wrong beause the rollers are velcro-e and stick to everybit of hair, so in the morning its hard to even get my hair out of the roller!
please dont suggest i perm my hair. manythanks

well if your hair is fine then this will prove difficult but if your hair is thick it should be easy, firstly wash your hair...DO NOT USE CONDITIONER as this softens the hair!!then put a spray on..the best one is GHD iron oil or heat protective spray,go to a hair salon, most sell it!!then spray on the hair while it is wet and then dry your hair and put some more spray on and then section your hair layer by layer so do the bottom layer leading to the top of the head using tongs make curls and then when its all done use a real hard fixing spray and spray all over..good luck xx

Use a heat-activated curl setting spray. You spray and comb through before using hot curling tongs or rollers.
It isn't clear from your posting - were the green rollers from Morrisons hot rollers or not? If not then you need to set with hairspray or something but you are going to get more volume than curl unless you use heat.
I use a product by Sexy Hair Concepts - I think it is called Sexy Curly Hair although I had a look on their website just now (www.sexyhair.com) and couldn't find it.
I think you need a product in their first which is heat-activated and which will keep the curl in for longer.
Velcro rollers can be a nightmare for that - try and keep your sections even and comb through carefully before winding on the rollers. However this isn't fool-proof!

Well i got handy tips from my hairdresser sayin all i have to do is take a section of hair (which has been sprayed with heat protection spray) and spray the section with hair spray, use curling tongs and do the same throughout.
Gdluck, i find that problem to, this lasted longer then they usually do lol.

if you have curling tongs that should work, make sure you hold the hair in place for longer than 10 seconds! use a mousse on your hair first when its wet and that should help- i take it you hair isnt naturally blessed with curls!, so ghd straightners are brill at creating curls, ive never done it as my hair curls with the addittion of mousse or sprinkle of water, but a friend uses her ghds to get her curls and it looks really good! boots own mousse in a turquoise blue/green can is good and really cheap at £1.99!! good luck

please do not perm it! i sometimes get chunks of my hair and twist it real tight and wrap it in a piece of a tight leave over night and hey presto! curlies in the morning. or try ghd curls they look good but you may need a pal to help you though.
Oh and its best to try and curl your hair when its not just been washed (bit dirty basically).

why do you want your hair to be curly?
anyway, what i think you need is to spray your hair to hold the curls after you curl them...
firm holding hair spray... you will need lots of them to hold the curls of your hair...

My mm used to say eat the crust of your bread and it made your hair curly - but I think she had ulterior motives
