No...any diet that forces where you eliminate other food groups is not healthy. Eating only fruits and water, you aren't getting any protein, fat or dairy. If you aren't having any protein, you won't be building or maintaining any muscle tone. Without dairy, you lose vital nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D. When you cut out a major food group, your body will take the nutrients already stored in your body. Therefore, you're at risk for at least damage to your bones and muscles.

Also, you should never start a diet that you can't do for life. Any diet that forces you to eliminate food groups may seem like you're losing weight quickly. But as soon as you start eating the eliminated food groups, you'll gain the weight back.

And don't eliminate fat completely either. Your body needs a little fat daily to help burn other carbs and fats stored.

Your best bet is to eat from all the food groups in moderation. Most people don't get their 5 servings of fruit & vegatables in their diet. So it is a good idea to make sure you're get these servings in before eating "junk" food. Also, do make sure you're drinking 6 - 8 glasses of water daily.

No. You can do this for a day or two as a way of fasting or cleansing your system. However, you should not do it any longer than that. By limiting yourself to fruit and water, your body is being deprived of all the nutrients it needs from all of the different food groups. Remember, protein builds muscle and makes your body strong. Your fruit and water diet has no protein. And what about other essential vitamins? Be good to your body. It is your temple. Eat a balanced diet and exercise. Good Luck!

It will make you have the runs. A diet of all food groups is healthy. Reasonably smaller amounts than usual. Throw in a little more fiber like oatmeal or 100 percent whole wheat bread, it is filling and good for you.

Fruits does have vitamins and minerals but it's not healthy to only take them because fruits don't have everything that your body needs like fat, protein and carbohydrate which can only be found in meat or dairy food.

no
you need foods from each of the four food groups to maintain health. it's o.k. for a short time but no any extended time. lack of meat can cause anemia. no carbs can cause low blood sugars and no calcium can cause bones to become weak. Plus many other things
