Pretty easily. She will have to go to court and file papers to have the name of the baby changed. She will then get a court date and she will have to take that paperwork to a local newspaper to have them run a legal notice ad once a week for two weeks. This ad will announce the intentions to change the baby's name. This gives people an opportunity who may have an interest in keeping the baby's name the way it is, an opportunity to be heard in court on that date (i.e. to know about the proceedings). She will be given a list of eligible newspapers upon filing. At the court appearance, the judge will call her up and the baby's father as well, and ask them if this is what they want and if anyone has any objections. If the judge feels this is warranted, he will order the name to be changed. The whole process takes about 30 days.

The birth certificate have who the father , or just you. Isay your trying to get the father to pays child supports. I think he should be a good father and do so, only if the baby carry his last name first. The court will not allowed the changes if your going after him for supports went you had the child, and being a minor. I say as the boss get Marry then change the child name it alot easy, than changing everythings twices.

An attorney has to draw up some papers to make it legal. Try contacting your local Legal Aid.

the mother of the child will have to do this, should be done at the Social Security office I believe. Just like a normal name change.

For procedures, contact your local circuit court. Your daughter should be the one to apply for name change.

You can't; it's not your place to change the name of someone else's baby regardless of how old the mother is.

You and her need to go down to the court house and fill out the paperwork, pay the fee and they will change it and issue new papers for you.
