He was born approx. 1950-51 and is my half brother, as we share the same father.
I believe he was born in Santa Ana, Calif.

His his mother's maiden name may not have been Moore. She was never married to my Dad, and that name may have been from a past husband.
I can't thank you enough for what you've already done. I'm getting on in years and to find him would be my greatest joy.

There was a Bryon Richards born June 8, 1950 in Los Angeles County, California whose mother's maiden name was Moore.

I couldn't find anyone by the name of Richards born in Orange County in the 1950s whose mother's maiden name was Moore.

You could write a letter to him & go to the Social Security office & ask them to forward it. You don't have to know his ssn. If you give them the name of a parent & his approximate birth date & state he was born in they can find his ssn. They won't give you his address but they would forward the ltr to him; it would be up to him to contact you. Technically, they are not supposed to do this but I used to when I worked there. Also we were supposed to send requests to an office in Baltimore but I didn't cuz I knew they wouldn't approve it. The only time we were allowed to do it was if someone inherited. Its worth a try. One woman included photos of her family & was contacted w/in a week of my sending her ltr to her father.
