If there was a break in the condom, even microscopic (thats why its only 99% effective), there is a chance. You do have to worry about skin based stuff like herpes or genital warts that can be in places other then penis. Things like ingrown hair or spot where you might have shaved can be windows to invading diseases.

Yes... anal sex can have a higher rate of contraction of STD's due to the nature of the orafice.

Condoms can break, especially in tight places (like the anus). So it is more likely to contract an STD from anal sex than regular intercourse. So it is possible but I wouldn't say that you will catch something from wearing a condom and having anal.

In theroy, no. Latex is a barrier and excellent protection. In reality though, condoms are prone to user error, which can result in tearing, and thus, less than 100% effectiveness. It is probably also possible that a manufacuring error could cause a similar problem, but all studies I've read put failure prertty squarely down to improper use.

So, if it's a concern, and you want to be 100% sure, you may have to consider simply not indulging. If you still wish to (with this or any sexy act), but want to be as safe as possible, make sure you are educated about the proper use and do what you can.

It's possible if the condom broke, which happens fairly frequently with anal sex.

Yes because that kind of sex is unnatural. Your anus is highly sensitive to infections. Condom or no condom.
