If you haven't been with anyone ever, then you have nothing to worry about. Call the doctor back and tell her that you are still having problems down there. In the meantime, go get some yogurt. You need to be eating 2 yogurts a day. And the next time you go on an antibiotic, start eating 2 yogurts a day while you are taking it and continue for 1 week AFTER you have finished the antibiotic. My mother always told me eating yogurt will prevent a yeast infection and the only time I ever got a yeast infection was when I didn't do what she told me. Damn, I hate it when she's right. LOL

It sounds like thrush which is a yeast infection and you don't have to be sexually active to get it. Thrush is an infection caused by a yeast called Candida. Small numbers of Candida commonly live on the skin and around the vaginal area. These are usually harmless. However, when conditions are good for Candida, it multiplies and may invade the vagina and cause symptoms.
In the UK we have Canestan which is great and now an oral tablet which does the trick. Plain yogurt applied down below is good too. It cools and soothes the itching. I would recommend you go back to the GP if you have none of the cream left as the last thing you want is for it to flare up again - it can get quite painful as I'm sure you've discovered.
Good luck!

yes you actually need probiotics in your vagina to fight off yeast infections, you can get them by using plain flavored yogurt. I use about half a teaspoonful 5-10 minutes before I take a shower every 3-4 days that I'm not on my period., and haven't had a yeast infection since. Also be sure to eat plenty of yogurt, you can eat any flavor though =) I like dannon activa

When women take antibiotics they are more prone to yeast infections. So my advice is to take acidophilus (it's an over the counter vitamin/supplement) before you start the medication. There are other things you can take that I can't remember off hand, but just talk to your pharmacist he/she can recommend some other things.

A preacher owned a cursing parrot. each and every time the parishioners visited, the parrot could embarrass the preacher to no end. sooner or later the preacher warned the parrot "in case you ever curse while the church contributors are available in you would be critically punished"! visitor arrived lower back and while the preacher opened the door the parrot enable loose a string of curse words that would desire to embarrass any sailor. while the hunt left the preacher picked up the parrot, walked to the freezer, opened the door and pushed him interior as he pronounced "I advised you you would be punished!" The preacher waited half-hour , opened the freezer door and asked "nicely, did you study your lesson"? The shivering parrot glared at him and pronounced "YYY-eee-sss- I purely have one question. What did that turkey in there do?" Goldwing, right this is the relationship on your "complicated of listening to" jokes. My ninety 5 year old deafened Aunt Nonie advised this comic tale til the top! thank you for letting me use your factors to tell it :) keep 'em coming. advantages- Juju

Try using laundry detergent that has no perfume or dyes in it for a few weeks. Like baby detergent...Ivory Snow maybe or dreft....Some women can not wear silk panties with dyes in it either...cotton only I know it sucks but it helps. If you find out it is the soap...you can change it to just doing your underwear in it...Good Luck

Well if you shave that could have caused it or maybe it is heat rash.
You may have sensitive skin - try changing the soap you use to clean your self down there.

you should really talk to a doc...someone might be able to give you some good insight on here but that sort of thing really needs medical attention

Just give it a little time. Also, you can try eating some yogurt (sugar free though) sometimes that helps too.
