YES. Italian food is overrated... I find the majority of it boring and unappetizing. I love Greek food, though. Dolmades, moussaka, gyros, souvlaki, spanikopita, baklava, kataifi... It's all good.

No. Greek food is good but it could never beat Italian.

I like them both. Many dishes, especially meat entrees, have similar flavors since they use many of the same spices. I guess it depends on my mood. I like the "side dishes" of Greece (spanikopita, tiropites, taramosalata), but when it comes to pasta dishes, I like Italian better than most Greek versions.

I grew up eating both..
I'm Greek and have alot of Italian friends.
I am more partial to Greek tho...
No one could make Dolmathes,Spannikopita,Boureki or Pastichio like my YiaYia did.
Even though I make them now myself..they're good but not the same.
Edit:
Gyros are Greek

Both are equally delicious in my opinion.
My Greek friend says that gyros is not Greek. It could be Lebanese.

I like both, they are very different and I consider them both to be delicious. Greek is considered by many to be the best "Mediterranean Diet" cuisine.
