Never. I don't think the public would be notified. I don't like what I'm going to say, but as horrible as I believe this is, I don't think a cure for AIDS or cancer will ever surface because governments would be forced to manufacture the drug and give it away for free, so they'd lose money and on top of that, the population would explode, we're already over-populated. With this cure, we probably couldn't sustain the millions of people who would be saved. I have had friends and family with cancer, so I'm not anti-cure!! I just don't see it ever surfacing.

the other option is to clone the infected human. Not sure that will happen for a very long time though, maybe they will come up with a cure for aids when a new virus breaks out so they wont be loosing money.

"Magic" Johnson has HIV. Arthur Ashe died with it. There are a lot of "celebrity" types who are HIV+.
It is NOT a political matter. It is difficult to develop a vaccine for a retrovirus; a retrovirus like HIV is continually mutating, and by the time you get a live virus vaccine that works, the virus has mutated away from the vaccine. This will take time, and money!! Are you ready to "pony up" so the cost can be met?/

NO...plenty of important figures have had cancer, and no cure has been released. Although, I think it makes the drug companies more money to keep us alive than to cure us, and that is why a cure isn't marketed.

I'm a nurse. Magic Johnson is living with it. I think this virus is way over their heads and is out of control without a suitable solution that's all.

When 'high profile' people get sick not matter what it is...the rules change. I think someone with a lot of money will help speed the process.
