Maybe serve on empty coffin for a table? Maybe use a lot of catcup for 'blood?' Other ideas? Since I am vegitarian and will use tofu instead of meat, should I serve the 'meat' raw or cooked?

Rent the cannibal movies, and leave a casual get together scene. If no one knows the theme you can surprise them by 'trying' to eat them. Meal plan wise i would suggest dishes that resemble human organs, intesines, etc.

All your ideas sounds great. That is going to be one wild New Years Party...however I might not do the ketchup thing, maybe do a No-Meat Spaghetti with a red sauce. As far as the Tofu I would definitely find some way to cook it ( I don't like raw Tofu)

Crispy Barbecued Tofu Slices would be great...here's a quick and easy recipe that has barbecue sauce you could add a little red food coloring to it to make it even bloodier looking.

INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package extra firm tofu
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 egg white
1 tablespoon barbeque sauce
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup barbeque sauce

DIRECTIONS
Drain tofu, and slice into strips. Place in a plastic bag or container, and freeze overnight. This will give the tofu a meatier texture. Thaw tofu strips, and blot with paper towels to dry.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg white and 1 tablespoon of barbeque sauce. Dip tofu slices into the egg mixture, then fry in the hot oil for about 1 minute on each side, until golden brown. Just fry enough at one time so they are not crowded. Remove from the oil to paper towels to drain and cool.

Preheat the oven's broiler. Brush tofu slices with additional barbeque sauce, and allow to marinate while the broiler heats up. Arrange them on a broiler pan, or wire rack set over a cookie sheet for best results.

Position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Broil for 5 minutes on each side, or until browned and crisp, watching closely so as not to burn them. Serve warm with the remaining barbeque sauce for dipping.
(makes 4 servings)

I would get the frozen bread dough - and shape it into bone shape (bread sticks) and then provide a hot spaghetti sauce (marinara) to dip these into. I would also make a Jello salad - strawberry mixed with cottage cheese (or cream cheese) that has been poured into round bowl (about the size of a skull).

Plastic skulls is a good idea - or try a fake (or real!) iron cauldron. I'm not sure how many tofu dishes are good with ketchup, but definitely serve things warm...

....or at least body temperature! Good luck with your party!
