I mean after making the cubes in ice trays, when you empty the cubes into a container in the door of the freezer and refill the trays, when you need more ice for a party. Then, you scoop out the cubes into an ice bucket. I guess salt and brown paper bag, both must be correct answers. Any other opinion?

If you put ice cubes in a brown paper bag and then put the bag back in the freezer, the ice cubes will not stick together. I can only guess why... maybe because the paper absorbs slightly melting water? But anyway, it does work.
