when you get a renewal every 5 years in CA, do they need you to go into the dMV office to retake your picture?
do they need you to go to the DMV to renew your license or can you just pay evry 5 years by mail/ website?

do they need you to retake the DMV test also or it's only if you break too many laws. so if you got ur license when you're 20, and you look completely different 30 years later, do they call you in to retake your pic or do they care?

Eventually you'll have to go down retake your photo and retake the test. Some people get by for years with out having to do either, while others have to go back every so often.

My last license photo lasted 20 years before I got a new one. Every 5 years I would pay the fee and get the same photo staring back at me (in California).

If you like it.. keep it.. If not go in for a new photo.

You have to take the eye exam at every renewal so you have to go in person.
