I had 20 unprotected sex with sex workers my whole life..... It was stupid and wasnt really aware at the time. Im getting tested for the 1st time next week, Im scared, been experiencing anxiety lately..... Dont know what to expect from my test..... I need a professional answer in what to expect or what are the chances that ill be tested HIV positive..... Im straight, never used injected drugs..... Im from the Philippines.....

well im doing an internship with the world aids corp. this summer and ive been researching for about 18 months now. be prepared for anything. anyone can get hiv but even if u do have it it can be managed. with the right drugs from your doctor, good balanced diet and excersize if u have hiv u may not get AIDS! Also there is probably a program in your area for support if u do. u may not. mabye everyone you slept with was clean! there is a chance that u could have HIV. i wont lie about it. i mean a doctor could have it from a patient, a business man from not wearing a bandaid or even Julia Roberts from her lil "business" in pretty woman (lol just kidding on that last one). i hope everything is ok. if u do end up with hiv, then do EVERYTHING the doctor says, and im really happy ur getting tested. who knows? u could be ther first person cured!!!

First of all HIV is not what it used to be, it is not a death sentence so be calm. Second of all it really depends. Were you from Manila, or from somewhere else. How endemic was AIDS in your region. When were these encounters? what year, when was the last one?, there are a lot of factors. Was anal sex involved? It is a little bit more difficult for a man to get HIV from vaginal sex than anal sex, and even more difficult from oral. So there are a lot of questions that need to be answer. Also make sure you get check for other STD's. Hep B is a lot easier to get that HIV and also very harmful, in addition to other diseases. But remember be calm, good luck and god bless

Relax and go get tested. The probability of getting infected with HIV is really low even if you had sex with someone who has HIV.

What about other STD's? I say get yourself to a dr and get a blood test. Then stop having unprotected sex.
