Both ways hurt your lungs. Sounds like your meds make you want to smoke. So I think you will continue to smoke the way you are regardless of which is worst. One of the only things I know to suggest to make it easier on your lungs is to find the "
lightest cig. of your brand (Ultra Lights or lighter if possible) and smoke that. People will say "lights" are just as bad as "reg"., but I know from having a lung infection myself and unable to quit, that lighter cigs. are easier going on you. Also smoking a lot of cigs. close together is more likely to cause a lung infection. Make sure and take it easy Huh.

Smoking is bad no matter what. You should tell this to your doctor. Maybe there is a reason why your meds make you want to smoke. He might prescribe different meds or lower the dose of your current meds. It is important to tell your doctor this problem as I am sure your doc would not want you to smoke.

I believe smoking with your meds, since smoking affects the metabolism of meds. To be honest, smoking either way affects more than your lungs so it is advisable to stop it. And i know its hard. Good luck and merry Xmas

It depends mostly on what your meds are for. Smoking is unhealthy. But it depends on why you need the meds, and what the consequences of not taking them are (and what alternatives exist).

First, try to quit smoking. Try the nicoderm CQ patches. If it is too hard, then do the second one. Smoke once every few days.
