It is a dark green, leafy vegetable used in salads. It is kind of like lettuce, but is actually an herb. Look for it in the produce section.

Also known as Rocket, Arugula is the most strangely flavored of all greens, possessing a distinctive hot, peppery muddiness that may be an acquired taste. Younger, smaller arugula is milder; old arugula may be far too hot.

Like most salad greens, Arugula is very low in calories and is high in vitamins A and C. How to Store : Rinse the leaves in cool water and dry on paper toweling. Wrap leaves tightly in plastic or a zip lock bag. Best if used within two days. Substitutes : You can substitute water cress for a simliar peppery flavor. ...

It's a fish's name in Sri lanka. But Rocket, also known as arugula, garden rocket, rocket salad, rugola, rucola and roquette[1], is a type of leaf vegetable, and although often mistaken for a sort of lettuce, is in fact a herb, being a member of the mustard family. It is rich in vitamin C and iron.

Rocket has been grown as a vegetable in the Mediterranean area since Roman times, and was considered an aphrodisiac. Before the 1990s it was usually collected in the wild and was not cultivated on a large scale and not scientifically researched until the 1990s. Today, it is cultivated in various places, especially in Veneto, and available throughout the world.

Arugula is an aromatic vegetable typically used in salads, that originated in the Mediterranean. It is also known by the names rocket salad, garden rocket, rugola, rucola, roquette. It is not a lettuce, it is an herb, and is part of the mustard family. Try going to your local health food store, or a store with an organic section, and asking someone there if they carry it. Chances are they don't, but they will probably be able to order it or know someone that could.

Arugula is a green, sort of in the lettuce family but it is technically in the "mustard family". It is very tasty and there are a variety of ways to make it zip with some of your meals. Where to find it, try an Italian market or an international market or try whole foods, or any organic food store. You could even maybe find at meijer but just make a few calls if necessary depending upon your proximity to a market

It's a leafy vegetable, like lettuce. It's in a lot of the salad mixes (ie. bagged salad). You'd probably need a supermarket with a good produce section (one with lots of "unusual" produce) to find it by itself though. I don't think I've ever seen it at mine.
