The recipe was very simple and had rolled oats and peanut butter in it. I believe it was called a "school" recipe and I originally found it in the Seattle PI. Thanks

These are great recipes, but I'm looking for a bar cookie recipe, baked in a 9x13 pan, made with rolled oats and peanut butter. Its sort of similar to blondies.

Rolled Oats and Peanut Butter Cookies

1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup rolled oats

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend margarine and sugar together. Add peanut butter and brown sugar. Beat until mixture is thoroughly combined. Scrape sides of bowl.
Add egg whites and vanilla. Beat until combined. Add flour and baking soda and mix well.
Stir in oats. Drop dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Peanut Butter and Rolled Oats Recipe
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 square butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Cook for 2 minutes
Then add:
1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. quick rolled oats
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. salt

No-Fuss Bar Cookies

24 graham cracker squares
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup flaked coconut
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk


Preheat oven to 350, grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
Place graham crackers in food processor or blender works fine too.
Process until crackers form fine crumbs.
Measure 2 cups of crumbs.
Combine graham cracker crumbs, chips, coconut and walnuts in medium bowl; stir to blend.
Add milk; stir until blended.
Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
Bake 15-18 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Cool completely before cutting.
Cut into bars.
Store tightly covered at room temperature.
These freeze very well too!
