...by about 10 years, would you still be a Vegan?

Understand that the research on this topic shows the opposite effect. This question is just a hypothetical.
Also this question is anything but an attack, I'm a vegan too!

Take care,

-MH

I am vegan partially for health reasons.
If this was the case, I'd definitly reconsider bringing some animal products back into my diet, however I'd take the time to find local, humaine and organically operated businesses to support.

Well I'm not a vegan so I'll just add on vegetarian (;)) if this was somehow proven, no I still wouldn't go back to eating meat. I did what I did because I believe it's wrong to kill animals for our food source.

Probably, nothing in life is guarenteed.at least I would know I didn't stop doing something I believed in.When I die I think it would be a less cruel and painful death than getting a heart attack or stroke or arthecolsis.I'm gonna do all this crazy stuff when I'm 70-80 years old anyways,I'm gonna go skydiving and other stuff like that.i don't drink or smoke and I try to stay healthy so I would probably average about the same as everyone else anyways.

It matters on your reason on being vegetarian. If you are vegetarian for heath reasons and high cholestorol, then you may be vegan for the rest of your life, depending on how "addicted" you get to the habit. Some people just can't stand not having meat in their diets, which then their brain tells them that they have to have meat. Some people can live longer with only vegetables, because their body functions differently. Others, since meat helps brain circulation, it helps them with academics and brainpowering activities, which help them to live a longer life.

I want to live a long and healthy life, but when I see a steak it just looks like roadkill. I couldn't eat meat.

That would be an even bigger incentive to be vegan. What makes you think people like living long?

It's a moral choice as much as anything else. Yes.

Most definitely!! :)

Even the THOUGHT of putting the remains of a tortured, slaughtered animal makes me sick. Sometimes seeing meat makes me sick and the smell of meat, eggs, cheese, milk, etc, DEFINITELY makes me sick. I can't even imagine the effect it would have of my body if I actually ATE that stuff!

I'd rather live a shorter life knowing that I did everything I could to help the animals. I can't IMAGINE eating meat again. Ugh ...

yeah i would. first of all, because i dont want to support the dairy/egg/meat industry. and second, because i dont want to live that long. i want to die in my seventies but i probably wont because of my diet and the fact that i dont drink, smoke or do drugs.
