the instructions say "heating resistant, non metallic surface" do i just leave it on the tile floor? i want it to be as close to me as it can be...and the tile floor is not exactly all that close.

If you have a nice, stable wooden stool that is big enough to hold the vaporizer and tall enough to get it close to you, that works pretty well.

The vaporizer will work reasonably well on the floor and that is most likely the safest place to put it. But a stool or table will also work pretty well if it will support the weight and is stable.

Well, is tile a heating resistant, non metallic surface? It'll be okay on a tile floor.

Just sit it in a night stand close to you. The steam get's really hot but the actual vaporizer is just relatively warm.
