Try a churrascaria, a Brazilian restaurant. Most are all you can eat.

They are called "Churascarias", or Brazillian steakhouses. A few of them are "Fogo de Chao" and Tezas do Brazil".

There are others, but these two seem to have quite a few locations.

Basicaly, they have a HUGE salad bar, which you are supposed to visit first (just get a tomato) then the servers walk around with meat impaled on swords. You get a coaster-like disc that is green on one side and ed on the other. If it's green side up they offer you meat, if it's red they leave you alone.

Expect to pay 40 - 50 bucks a head, without liquor, but the selection and quality are fantastic.

Well worth a special trip.

There is a burger restaurant in Amarillo, TX that serves a 4 pound hamburger with fries and cole slaw. I think it costs about $25-$30, but if you can eat the whole thing, it's FREE!

Lots of those in Texas!!! A couple in Houston and Dallas. They come around with a big beef loin on a long skewer and will give you as much as you like. Don't know the name of the restaurant, though.

There was a good one near Boston, I thought it was Argentinian instead of Brazilian, but they came around with every cut and type of beef on a skewer every few minutes and just kept carving until you said when. They had a great buffet line too. One price, all you could possibly eat.
