You are comparing, if you'll excuse the expression, apples to oranges. Crabs are a bug, herpes are viral. Even if the crabs suck up your infected blood, I am told they cannot transfer the herpes virus. Mosquitoes can and do spread malaria, killing an amazing number of people a year, especially children. The malaria protozoa can survive in the blood the mosquito sucks. But crabs don't seen to have the same ability with the herbes virus. Fleas transmit disease as do ticks. But most virus must be transmitted in bodily fluids and they do not survive outside the host body for long. As with AIDS it has to be a body to body exchange. AIDS is an amazingly fragile virus, as are most virus. They have to have perfect conditions to spread.
I had a case of crabs 30 years ago after a party trip to the ismus of Catalina Island, Ca. Never had such a thing and I freaked. You can get crabs from innocent contact, they are like fleas. The pharmacist said," Been to Catalina Ismas, huh?" A few showers with the lotion and they were gone. Whew!
If you have Herbes, see a doctor. If you have crabs, see a pharmacist. Apples and Oranges.
