Diabetes is a very difficult diagnosis to make with only those symptoms. Many women (pregnant or not) can also experience a little known form of diabetes called Type III. It is generally temporary. At any rate, go to your GP and mention it. It is important to find out soon if you do have it, because it puts you at risk for acute hypoglycemia, which can be fatal. I'd get yourself to a doctor soon for some tests, regardless of the answers you receive here.

Type 2 diabetes is an adult staged diabetes usually starts mid-life or later. But can also start younger if you are obese.
The problem with drinking more you are going to urinate more. That's normal.
Although you might have a few signs of diabetes you need to look at the whole picture and not pick three or four signs and symptoms that pertain to you.
Here are the signs and symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
Feeling thirsty.
Having to urinate more than usual.
Feeling more hungry than usual.
Losing weight without trying to.
Feeling very tired.
Feeling cranky.
Lots of infections and cuts and bruises that heal slowly.
Blurred vision.
Tingling or numbness in your hands or feet.
Lots of skin, gum, or bladder infections.
Vaginal yeast infections.
Erectile dysfunction in men.
If you have more than three or four signs and symptoms, then I would suggest making an appt with an internal medicine doctor to have some tests run.
If your mom has a blood glucose monitor, you could test your blood first thing in the morning before you eat or drink and see what it is. If it's over 126 two or more mornings, make that appointment.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I get like that also... The only way to tell is to see your dr. I don't have diabetes... My blood sugar just drops when I go too long without eating. Avoid a lot of sugars and carbs that burn quick. Keep a granola or protein bar with you. SEE YOUR DR! Diabetes is nothing to play around with. You probably don't have it but you don't want to risk anything!! You could be borderline hypoglycemic or something.
Avoid sodas, sweat tea, etc.... drink water and avoid caffeine also. Eat a balanced meal. These are all things you should do regardless. And make sure you are active physically.

Having diabetes doesn't really make you hungry. But it does make you pee a lot, and thirsty. Lightheadedness would indicate Hypoglycemia, which is low blood sugar, not diabetes. The only reason diabetics get weak and shaky is because they take medicine to lower their blood sugar, so if they don't eat regularly, then their bodies react adversely. since you are not taking this medicine, then this doesn't apply to you. Headaches can indicate high blood sugar, it did for me.
I have diabetes 2 - you should really get your blood checked; diabetes is not fun and can have bad longterm affects, as I'm finding out. :)

I myself have been diagnosed with hypoglycemic. This is low blood sugar. Sometimes my sugar level in my blood does go up to high. I have these symptoms when my blood sugar raises. I went to my medical doctor which refered me to a specialist that handles diabetes. The specialist ordered a glucose tolerance level test. Which turned out to be diagnosed with hypoglycemic. Then the specialist made an appointment with a dietitian which taught me what I could eat and not to eat. As long as I stay with the proper diet I do no have any problems.

I would go to your doctor and find out. There is test that can be done to see if you are indeed diabetic. I would get it checked asap. It can be gotten under control if you do have it. Once it is controled by diet and exercise you may not have to take medicine for it.

you need to go and get tested becaues you are at risk by your mom being a diabetic and it sounds like that is what you have or you are with child. Go as soon as possible before it is to late.
