Ok a few months ago my ex-boyfriend and I had sex... sometimes without a condom... now I’m not afraid I’m pregnant. or anything I know I’m not I’m just scared I might have got something from him b/c he had been w/ other girls b4 me.... when we were still having sex I got my period a few times and my genitals itched... now we've been broke up for like 3 months now and I’ve been fine and today it started itching again however I’m now where close to being on my period... Is there something wrong with me? Or am I just being paranoid?

YOU MAY VERY WELL HAVE SOMETHING DEAR.There r alot of diseases out there transmitted through unprotected sex.Why do u think doctors stress CONDOMS.Many can b transmitted back & forth .UR boyfriend could have something especially at that age .Don't u understand there r things out there that can kill u? aids ...........YOU NEED TO GO TO YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT... If u don't want to confront your mother. If u r old enough to have sex then you r old enough to take responsibility 4 your body.Plan on spending 1/2 the day for an appointment w a local state agency for your whole life history of forms u will b filling out.Your mothers doctor won't b like that.U really should tell your mom though.Welcome to the big girls world,BABE.IF U DON'T KNOW HOW TO TELL HER SHOW HER THIS Q&ANSW. THING & TELLHER MOM IT' ABOUT ME.....I THINK YOU'LL FIND DISAPPOINTMENT W/ her but none is better 4 your support than your mom.U R 17 now MOM should be looking at u like an adult now,U r doing adult things.People make mistakes & hopefully u will learn from this. There r things diseases out there that if u wait for treatment u may make yourself sterile & never know what it wd b like 2 hv. yr own kids. Get 2 a doctor ....If u r lying about your age u r going to have to tell your mom. Eventually, u two may become better friends.Trust your mom she luvs u!!!!By the way baby powder is the worst thing for your genital area. There r medicated powders on the market made special for that.....

You can never be too cautious when it comes to possible STD's. As a precaution I would see your Dr. Get tested for the common things like ghonnerea, chlymidia and such... Also, go ahead and get a HIV test. Some STD's don't affect certain people the same as they do others. When Ghon. might cause one person immense pain it may just cause another itching. Who knows... Chances are that your causing the itching yourself by over thinking things... But don't take a chance...see your Dr. It's a little embarrassing but they deal with this all the time and sex is a normal part of life.
Good luck!

I would see a doctor.
It may just be a hormonal change, possibly bringing on dryness, or something like that which is causing some itchy irritation.
It seems unlikely that it is a yeast infection, because usually the PH of the vagina during your period will destroy a yeast infection.
HOWEVER, there are certain STDs which can be aggravated by the changes in your hormones before your period, so seeing a doctor is imperative. Who knows, he/she may tell you that you are just fine, and it would at least ease your mind.
Next time, be careful, and you won't have to worry as much. Good luck!

First of all you need to get to your local Planned Parenthood. There you will be able to get free medical assistance without your parents. If you are itching or if anything seems to be abnormal, you need to see a professional. The quicker you go to the doctor, the better off you will be if you actually have something. There are many STDs that do not show symptoms right away, but the longer they are present the more damage they cause. There are many diseases that can cause infertility and affect your future. Please visit your local Planned Parenthood and make an appointment as soon as possible.

As long as u don't notice any foul smell, you may have a yeast infection. Yeast normally lives in the vagina, but the different hormones released around your period can cause an overgrowth. Intercourse only irritates it ( that explains the itchiness during/afterwards). It's easily treatable with a pill(Diflucan) from your family practitioner or gyno. FYI...Always, always, always use protection. You don't want to risk getting a more serious, uncurable disease...sex is not worth your health.

You can have an STD and not know it. It is best to be tested so you will know for sure. Chances are, it's nothing. But you would feel better hearing that from a doctor than from a bunch of yahoo arm chair quarterbacks with no real info.

Your best bet is to call Family Planning. They can give you the right advice. You could also try looking up STD's on the internet if you have a private area in your home.
