i have acid reflux and would like a home remedy to rid my throat and sinuses of the reflux fluid. i do not have insurance because the premiums for asthma with steroid use is between 400.00 to 700.00 a month which is impossible for me to pay so i need a remedy that is over the counter

Sometimes I get bad reflux after I go to bed at night and I have come to realize that I usually only get it when I drink water close to bedtime. Have you noticed if it acts up more when you eat or drink something close to the time when yours acts up? That would be my advice to try and figure out why. If its mild you can take an antacid like Tums, but they usually only work for very mild cases.
Also, try to lay with two pillows under your head so you are elevated, sometimes that works to keep the reflux down (but only if yours acts up when you are laying down)

Good luck, if these dont help, I hope that someone will be able to give you some better ideas.

If you dont have high blood pressure you can use a spoon full of baking soda.in a cup of water and mix it well. it is very cheap and works quickly. I prefer it over heartburn meds.

You can easily take Apple Cider Vinegar, that should work wonders.
