My box of Advil Cold & Sinus has an expiration date of 10/2004, will it still work? Do I need to double the dosage?

Thanks...too sick to get out to the pharmacy.

Officially, I'll have to say, it's time to buy a new pack.

Now, whether or not the old ones will work, I don't know. The expiration date the drug company puts on the package is normally the last day they tested the drug for safety in their lab. There is data which one can use to find its true expiration date, but most pharmacies won't have that. The drug might work, it might not. If you do use, the manufacturor will not back the product.

They are too old and have no doubt fizzled and are worthless. Toss them, new ones aren't that expensive.
