i'm doing a paper, and i need to know can you catch chlamydia from some one even if it's been treated already?

Chlamydia is a bacteria, which can be treated and cured with antibiotics. Once it has been treated, than there is no more bacteria, and so it can't be transmitted.

Only viruses can still be transmitted, as they stay in the body forever, but in the example of herpes, it is less likely for it to be transmitted when there is no outbreak. HPV is similar...less likely to be transmitted when there are no warts or lesions, but still probable. Condoms should be used just in case.

just cause you put some ointment on 5 minutes ago doesn't mean it's gone yet. once it's gone it should be gone except for incurable stuff which could be treated but never go away.

Depends on how long they've been on treatment, what kind of treatment and how long ago treated. That is why it is always wise to use protection.

You can catch it as long as the infection is present, regardless of whether symptoms are present or not.

If they have not finished the course of treatment then they are still contagious.

my boyfriend now had chlymadia 10 yrs ago and got cured. he doesn't have it and neither do i.
