Ignore all the comments above. Either your glucose meter is miscalibrated, or you did something wrong. If it were 18.2 on the US scale, you wouldn't be sitting at your computer, you'd be on the floor dying. It could be that you've set your meter to read the European scale and you're quite high (about 330 mg/dl converted to US scale). In which case, it's just a matter of rechecking and injecting some insulin or exercising a bunch or both.

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.

And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.

Stay on the computer, logged onto Answers and just keep asking all the doctors that hang around here what you should do.

CALL YOUR DOCTOR OR EMERGENCY ROOM. 911 If it is life threatening.............I do not know what those numbers mean but you seem to think it is a problem.................ACT do not sit in front of the computer. Call 911 and unlock your front door so they do not have to break it down in case you fall out.

My God you need to go and see a doctor. You do not say if you are diabetic, but it does not sound good. Good Luck
