As a British blood donor of 34 units I am of the belief that A RH Pos is able to receive O negative A Rh negative and A Rh positive. Rhesus is given to the factor in the blood common to the Rhesus Monkey. Being RH Positive irrespective of group is an indication of the presence of the Rhesus factor. O Negative is given in an emergency when there isn't time to cross match blood types. The four main groups are A, B, O and AB with the addition of the factor of being Rh + or Rh - The rarest blood group is AB Rh -

Negative blood can be given as it contains no Rhesus antibodies.

What you cant do is give a rhesus negative person rhesus positive blood, as you are introducing them to forign antibodiis which would cause a haemolytic reaction (blood would clump in the blood vessels and cause death).
