I'm a nurse. This is a serious matter. It could be a GI bleed if it isn't coming from your teeth. You need to see a doctor right away, you are bleeding somewhere from within and could become fatal. Go to the doctor now this can not wait!

see a Dr. ASAP. Not to scare you but a friend of mine was spitting up blood and soon after his mom found him laying on the floor dead.
You are probably fine, it's probably bleeding gums, but don't take chances, see a Dr.

or worse, bleeding ulsers, stomach cancer. red blood in fresh bleeding, brown or black in old blood. with stomach cancer it can be both. My husband just past away from it. red or bright red is open sores or g.e.r.d.s, which is what my husband started with and didnt get help, it errouds your stomach and cancer begains. or bleeding ulser which can be treated with medications if there really bad you have to have repair surgery. but still any time you see blood up down inside out or other wise GET TO THE DOCTOR, if pain is presant GO TO THE E.R

sounds more like you may have bleeding gums and that is what is causing you to gag...still if you are concerned that you have TB go to your local health department and get a test. It's fairly inexpensive and if it proves positive is readily treated with available medications.

that's not good at all. try going to a doctor and if you don't want to do that, switch toothpastes.
