The name of the product is Exubera and was developed as a collaboration between Aventis (before being purchased by Sanofi) and Pfizer. There has been some recent litigation brought by Novo-nordisk that threatened to scuttle the launch of the product but the launch is now underway. You should ask your doctor about this product as a supplement or replacement to your current insulin therapy.

The inhaler is avaliable to adults over 18, but is still at early stages and apparantly difficult to use.

they are doing a study with this.... a friend of mine is on the study.... there are breathing side effects he is experiencing, but his blood sugar is in a good range.... hope this works!
