if it particularly hurts when you breathe in, it could be chest wall pain. it could also be heartburn (believe or not). many times people who complain of heart pain and who thought they were having a heart attack, had heartburn. still, if its persistant and you're concerned, a visit to the er is in order.

Don't have much to go on. Looking into GERD or acid reflux, which can cause esophogeal spasms, very painful. The pain radiates, so you really can't pinpoint it.Take an acid reducer, not an antacid. Are you high strung?? Look into panic attacks, especially if you are under a lot of stress. My 25 year old daughter went to the ER a couple of times thinking heart attack. Also, cover all the bases, just because you're 32 doesn't mean that you don't have a heart problem, or cholesterol buildup. Get a checkup if the acid reducer doesn't work.

Could possible be costochondritis or chest wall pain that is caused from inflamation in the sternum or breastbone. And doing repetitive work can bring on the pain. You can usually recreate the pain if you push your finger where your ribs join your sturnum at the top of your chest. But it would be wise to see your doctor and check it out. Do a search on Costochondritits or Tietze syndrome. Good Luck
