I have been checked over by two doctors that say there is nothing wrong with my heart and blood pressure.I was sick for about three weeks with a bad flu.My doctor knew about this and im pretty much over whatever it was.While i was laid up my heart rate never got that high.so Im used to having a low heart rate.Although I have been found not to have heart problems ,when I get out bed my heart rate goes up and i get scared to do very much althouth it always goes back down I get worried about doing anything.My doctors have told me to keep buy and get out and I have a fiend that is a nurse that is in the same position .She says get out and do things.i have lost my conifidence and scared to go to town or get out and do things.I am afraid that my heart will fail me.I never felt this way until I started hearing my heartbeat which is a benign condition due to weight loss.yes I have seen a specailist .he said the same .i feel safest in bed,and dont know why ,How do I get my confidence back ?

Well, the first question I would ask myself is what is heart failure? Heart failure is a sequela of a heart attack not flu. If you don't have blood pressure and cholesterol issues your chances of having a sudden heart attack are very slim. Have you considered that you are having anxiety or panic attacks. If you are male between the ages of 35-55 this is very common. Men can even feel like they are having heart attacks at the time. You might check into an SSRI that will help with the anxiety. One thing is for certain if you don't get out and exercise the heart muscle you will have more problems down the road.

need to go see a psychologist, you seem to have developed a fixation on your health conditions.
