As a little camper in the mountains of California, we used to drink Hot-Jell-O like hot-chocolate !! It gave us the sugar and warmth needed for cold-weather camping !!
Admittedly, I haven't done that in almost 30 years... but I couldn't handle the sugar intake these days !!

This is a really popular celebrity diet trick. You drink sugar free jello that has been warmed and lost its "gelly" texture- thus uts just a sweet drink. If you drink enough it's an instant diuretic. Very popular with lingerie models the day before a photoshoot. Makes you instantly thin. Doesn't last though. It's just a quick fix before a shoot.

I drink it hot, especially if I have a sore throat. Soothes the throat and give me energy.
