Let's say you smoke a bowl of pot, how many cigarettes would that be? I'm wondering if pot can give you lung cancer and has the same tar smoke going into your lungs are cigarettes or cigars.

People who smoke pot rather than smoking cigarettes still have high risk of lung cancer. A smaller amount of pot contains more tar, but pot is not addictive. People smoke more cigarettes and less pot, because pot is more potent. It just sort of depends.

Smoking anything is bad for you, though. A little pot every once in a while probably never hurt anyone since it's not addictive, but if you really want to stay healthy, don't make a habit out of it.

yes. it's actually worse for you because there is no filter. smoking pot comes with the same to a higher risk of developing lung cancer than cigarettes. there has been a little research on this subject, but not as much as with ciggs because pot is illegal. but inhaling smoke of any kind is bad for you.

I'm sorry that I don't have a source for you...but I read recently that marijuana has more tar than cigarettes. I always hear people saying that pot wont do you any harm so I looked it up. You might want to do some research. But yah according to what I read they are just as bad if not worse for your lungs.

Smoking pot is worse than cigarettes. It's the T.H.C in the pot, it's so thick that it could cause more damage to your lungs. Yes you can get cancer from pot. And one bowl is equal to about three cigarettes.

All I know is that pot will be the next thing that the goverment is going to legalize and tax, cigarettes have went up in price and also you are forced to smoke in designated areas, which inturn will discourage more people to quit, and also with drunk driving and the drinking laws more people are not drinking and going out as much. So the goverment is going to say hum what else can we tax and make legal? Pot!!!!

My friend said that pot smoking isn't as bad as cigarettes. It's not as addicting either, they actually use pot for medical reasons. It's much safer then cigars or cigarettes.

Is smoking a natural thing for humans? American Indians did it for religious reasons ?? when you do something to the body that is not natural? it will break down or react to the stimuli? smoking is smoking, pot or tabac, and it does cause problems?

No. A large study was just done by USC which showed that there is no link between marijuana smoking and lung cancer. It is theorized that THC actually kills aging cells preventing them from becoming cancerous.
