Vegetarians don't eat meat...Vegans won't eat meat or ANYTHING produced by an animal(eggs, for example)

vegan is looked at as a more extreme version of vegetarianism, and pescatarianism is the least extreme.

some people say vegetarians drink milk and eat eggs and vegans dont. this isnt true because not all vegetarians drink milk or eat eggs (for example, a lacto vegetarian does drink milk but doesnt eat eggs) but vegans do not eat either. they also dont eat huney or use wool etc

All vegans are vegetarians, but not all vegetarians are vegans. Let me explain.

A vegetarian is someone who abstains from eating meat. Certainly vegans qualify. However, there are ovo vegetarians and ovo lacto vegetarians. Ovo vegetarians abstain from meat and dairy, but will eat eggs. Ovo lacto vegetarians abstain from meat, but will eat eggs and dairy. Vegans don't eat ANYTHING from animals, whether it's meat, eggs, dairy. Some don't even eat honey, or any food with even one ingredient that is derived from food, like whey lecithin, which is a derivative of milk.

I hope that's clear. : ^ )

I've always understood it as such:
Vagan: you eat only things that grow out of the ground:
Vegitarian:three types, Ovo (eats eggs and things that grow out of the ground) Lacto(eats dairy and things that grow out of the ground) and Ovo-Lacto (eats everything except beast).
There is another, that eats all of the above, including fish, but eats no red meat, chicken, ect. My uncle was dating one of these. She said she was a vegatarian, but I cant remember the term my nutritionist friend used...

vegans= eat no animal products at all, some also do not wear any animal products.
vegetarians=eat no meat, which includes fish, poultry and red meat. does not have cheese that uses rennet, or gelatin products.

Vegetarians don’t eat any meat, but they do eat dairy products and eggs.

Vegans don’t eat any meat, or any products that come from animals (ie dairy, honey, eggs, ect.).
