After converting your metrics to my "yank" equevilants, I see that by your weight (196.5 lbs.) and height (5.6") and your BMI level, you're approximately 30 lbs. overweight. At any rate, you will lower your blood pressure, cholestrol and weight by making simple changes in your way of eating. By using the Glycemic Index, you can eat carbohydrates that are whole grain and metabolize better. Follow that will low fat dairy and proteins and a small amount of exercise (like one or two 10 minute walks a day) and before you know it, you will have lost the weight. If you smoke, that will raise your cholesterol and blood pressure. By eating several small quality meals a day, you won't be hungry. I would recommend a book called "Sugar Busters". It has great recommendations and really works without getting hungry. Limiting your salt intake and uping your water will help your blood pressure come on back to normal. Even a small loss will bring great results to your statistics and make you feel so much better! I know you can really do this if you want to improve your health. You didn't get overweight overnight, so it will take a little work to get it off; but it will be well worth it in every respect. Thank you for asking such a beneficial question. You've helped so many people! Godloveya!

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

First, try starting a diet and exercise plan so that you can rid off the excess weight and be on the running towards a more healthy lifestyle. Best way is to consult a doctor or nutritionist on it. Just start with slow exercises and then gradually increase the intensity and duration of your routines.
You should consult a doctor for medicines to help you control your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

The foods that are proven to lower cholesterol are the ones that contain Omega 3 fats. These are Salmon, Tuna, Pilchards, Sardines, Skippers and Mackerel etc. There is now a margarine that contains Omega 3 as well if you don't like these types of fish. You can purchase capsules from the Pharmacy if you want to digest them this way but it's like everything else, moderation is the key.

Cholestrol is easy to control. Drink a glass of water with a shot of apple cider vinegar in it at least once a day to clear your arteries. It will also re-vitalize you. Be sure to brush your teeth after drinking the vinegar.

Become complete vegetarian. With that you can reverse all (or most) the mentioned conditions. Plant sources do not contain cholestrol and hence it will help you in coping up with the mentioned health troubles.

In addition, a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise can help. If you cannot jog, then walk.
