Because they're not in season in this country! Strawberries are end of May-late august at most. Spanish strawberries are available in the larger supermarkets, but try cubes of pineapple, banana, marshmallows, orange segments, mango small sweet biscuits, even grapes

Geez Louise (sorry, I always wanted to have a reason to say that). My local grocery store has them. Check around. They are in lots of places.

But, if you can't find them, try bananas, angel food cake, pretzels, orange sections, cookies, graham crackers, and the ultimate in chocolate tastes ... chocolate fudge.

I saw some at my local no-name grocer last week. They want an arm and a leg for them though. Consider using cake bites and cookies for dippers this time of year. It's cheaper!

Sainsbury's usually have some, but you can use any other type of fruit like bananas and oranges (or marshmallows if your not feeling particularly health concsious).
Enjoy!
