They say it can precipitate cardiac events when you start treadmill exercise after the age of 50

Hi

Im 63 and just started on the treadmill and elipticle in the past year. It is the best cardiovascular exersize you can get. Of course if you over do it , its not the greatest thing for you.

After bypass surgery , which I had 15 months ago the therapy is treadmill, recuse bikes, upper body exersize so its all good for you.

Just do it

I feel not doing any exercise can also cause lots of cardiovascular problems so why not do the exercise and make yourself fitter with more stamina. I would suggest you to do little streching exercise before you step on the treadmill. And always start with lower speed and then gradually increase the speed and the duration. Don't try to jog if you have never done before. And please note my father is 78 and he is expert :). A tread mill has a pulse counter,as long as his pulse rate is with in the range ( maximum is twice the age - minimum is a normal 70 to 80 )
If he wants to use buy or else he can walk with a "Pedometer" which shows his calories burnt.
He must burn maximum of 130 daily.( 13,000 steps ).

If your doctor clears you as healthy enough to exercise...a treadmil should be fine. You dont have to sprint, a birsk walk is just fine!

what's time-honored? needless to say those people have chosen to stay this way. they'd have chosen otherwise - religious or no. You do get to a factor the place you may in basic terms say to hell with it. They probably have their very own unique the right thank you to alleviate the stress of it besides, in case you get my flow.

Well, to be safe, your local cardiologist has a treadmill you could try and see. His is a bit fancier than yours.
