Most vegetarians don't eat meat because of the senseless act of killing innocent animals, but if pigs, cows, chickens could indeed talk and tell you that they wanted to be eaten, would this make it all right to eat them?

As a true carnivour let me say that eating pork is much more satisfying with the assumption that the pig wanted to live. I mean, who wants to eat a suicidal pig?

I don't think a vegetarian would eat him, but that would be an interesting situation. I think that it would depend on why they wanted to be eaten- was it because they're in such horrible conditions, or are all animals just under the illusion that humans are great powers that it is their destiny to be eaten by us? I don't think it would be right either way, though- you know, like in Babe, and The Wizard of Oz- would you eat a pig who could hold a conversation with you? Wou;dn't that be incredibly similar to cannibalism? Cool question!

I don't eat meat that takes days to digest....pigs have the longest amino acid chain much like a humans. I eat food closest to the sun. Plants that get their energy from the sun.
Besides...when a lion kills an animal to eat, the lion LEAVES the flesh...he eats the organs which have the most nutrients. He leaves the flesh for the scavengers. Lions live 8-10 years eating meat. Elephants live over 100 eating plants.

No, this would be more wrong.

If these animals showed they had the intelligence of a human to make this statement, it wouldn't make it alright to eat them. It would make a pig relatively equal mentally to humans to make this statement. Just like it's not okay to eat people who give consent because they have a psychological disorder, it's not okay to eat animals, if they could say it's okay.

Why would they ever say this?

Bernd Jürgen Brandes gave consent to Armin Meiwes to murder him and eat his body (on video tape). That doesn't make it right, instead it shows just how wrong it is. It caused the people who saw the tape to seek counseling because they were so disturbed by it.

Most vegetarians don't eat meat for many reasons, one of them is because killing animals is unethical, just because an animal could want it doesn't make it ethical. The other reasons are because of environmental and health issues.

If the vegetarian believes it is wrong to eat other living things it would be wrong for him to eat the pig. If someone asks you to kill them it does not make it legal. In a vegetarians woulrd no meat is the law. Besides...Pig's are smarter than that.

No that would not make it all right and would creep out any meat eater. Just think of the cow that promised to kill itself humanely in the Restaurant at the end of the Universe.

i think he could tell you how creamy is the contact with the cooking oil, how hot and sweathening is the oven heat, and especially how lucky he is escaping the bad image being a pig instead of being a lion or giraffe.if everybody would think meat as you do all of us would turn vegetarian, how horrible !!.

No because a pig would probably never want to be eaten and wouldn't you rather go veg to be AGAINST people killing animals for food and also do it for your health?

Who cares? The only reason the pig exists at all (besides the wild pigs) is the fact he was raised, like a crop to be eaten. We could be like the idiot Hindus and worship all animals, the rats and cattle consume all the grain, while the people go hungry.

Animals can talk, they just don't speak human language. What do animals do when their life is in danger? Its eather flight or fight, when a pig struggles and screams before its ready to be slaughtered what do you think its saying? well its certainly not saying eat me. In the slaughter houses, animals are hung upside down and get their throats slit, they struggle, kick, wail, squawk, scream and fight to try and stay alive. If they manage to squirm enough they fall to the ground and try to run...... If they could speak in human language they would not be saying eat me.

Why would a pig ask you to eat him? The pig wants to live as much as you do. Anyway, that would never happen.
