We want to make grasshoppers and peppermint patties tomorrow night and we don't want to buy two bottles of booze if we don't have to. Pretty lame, right? But how many mint boozes does a couple really need?

Creme De Menthe is a lot smoother taste and more of a cool mint but Schnapps is a lot more harsh and might be to intense for grasshoppers.

If you don't want to buy two different kinds of mint booze, don't.
Use one kind for both and it'll all be good. Look, the main point is what YOU want to do. The alcohol gods will not strike you down for experimenting, and I'm sure your guests for the most part won't notice anyway (unless you point it out). Have fun!

BUY THEM BOTH, WHICH EVER HAS LEFTOVERS USE IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE. THE CREME DE MENTHE IS NICE WITH ICE AND MILK ALSO. THAT CAN BE MADE NICE BY PRE MIXING IT WITH MILK AND ICE AND PUTTING IT IN A PUNCH BOWL, GARNISH WITH MINT LEAVES IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SOME,IF NOT JUST IN THE BOWL .
