re: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061221172713AAbsDvb

I went to the doctor and he said it might be because of the position i do when i watch tv or when i sleep

but i'm still not sure.

they got my bp it's 110/80.. they say it's normal.

the chest pain i told before wasn't really pain, it was just a little bit discomfort like someone was touching my chest with very very very little force. as in no force. can i just ask how does it feel for a normal chest pain in a heart attack? is it like their is a train in your chest? coz that isn't what i felt..

thanks..

and how long can these symptoms last??

You would know if you were having a heart attack, the pain would be a tight crushing feeling in your chest, numbness or pain in your limbs at times, jaw and neck will hurt and sometimes you feel nauseated or sick. Sounds like you have indigestion as said before, dont worry, if you've seen a doctor and he says you're fine then you're fine. Try finding an over the counter medication to help.

At 14, it would be extraordinarily rare for you to have a heart attack unless you were born with an abnormal heart.

Heart attack pain is said to be a crushing pain or severe heaviness, like an elephant sitting on your chest. It can radiate into your back, arm or jaw, and can be associated with nausea, sweating and feelings of panic.

You might have some reflux, which you would feel in the middle of your chest. Try taking Tums or Rolaids and see if that helps. It could also be muscular, or some pain in the joints between the ribs and sternum.

Your blood pressure is perfect.

You're fine.

A heart attack usually feels like a crushing pressure on the chest. Most of the time you'll have a rebounding pain in your left arm. It sounds more like indigestion, especially if it happens an hour or so after eating. You BP is normal, and very good. Try eating a little slower, and taking smaller bites.

Probably not they may just be "growing pains". Since it comes and goes it's probably just a muscle cramp. You should mention it to the doctor though, it's always better to let him/her know when you have aches or pains in the chest. A heart attack would be excruciating pain that feels like someone is standing on your chest. It's a pressure type pain. It's so bad that people having heart attacks generally have a hard time breathing because the pain is so bad. If your symptoms are that bad you need to go to the Emergency Room.

I don't know what a heart attack feels like. I've never had one that I know of. You could also be having a number of different things like acid reflux disease, or even a problem with your gallbladder although 14 is way to young for that, or even an ulcer. My brother had an ulcer at 14. Go to the doctor and tell him what is going on. Let him do whatever tests he needs to do.
