No, 120/80 is average. Your blood pressure is fine.

Alex, what you describe sounds like a pretty healthy blood pressure for a really growing 15 year old runner. Most people do not appreciate that healthier active people do have lower blood pressure. One BP reading is never considered absolutely accurate, but yours are nothing to worry about.

as long as you are not experiencing symptoms with a diastolic of 50, there is no problem, that is still enough pressure to perfuse the tissues and organs. If you are dizzy on standing, suggest you consult a doctor.

No you blood pressure is fine. Mine has measured 110/40, The doctor looked at me like I should be dead but I felt fine and am active, healthy and young and then he told me I was lucky and would probably live to one hundred.

actually 120/80 is pre-hypertensive. I would not be concerned unless high/low bp runs in your family. As always check with your doctor

That's what they go by is the 2nd number. It is desired to have a low reading. I wouldn't worry about it. Bp's change every day.

whenever I ask a question, even if it is the easiest one, they cannot provide me a good informed answer here. What happened to people who actually make the effort to answer..
