My 12 year old loves Dance, Dance Revolution (that dance video game they have at arcades). If you can't rent one of those machines they make an X Box game with a dance mat that goes with it. Karaoke is always fun too.

Also, consider having a theme. If it's a girly night, make the theme Pink (all pink food, pink decorations, ask the guests to wear pink, etc). Or maybe there is something else that the party girl likes that you can theme the party around. Just an idea!

Food ideas:

- chocolate fountain w/cake, cookies, pretzels and fruit dippers
- cupcake tower, donut hole tower
- miniature food (tacos, spring rolls, bagel bites)
- chex mix or trail mix
- ice cream shakes or floats
- flavored popcorn (caramel, white cheddar, etc)

have some spa activities..foot soak, massage threapist (chair)..with the MT you can usually go to a local college and pay them cheap..or even some will volunteer....they need the training hours,

other ideas: have a karoke machine (sometimes better then a DJ at this age), bubble machine

make your own hot fudge sundaes....

have the disposiable cameras on the tables and a signature portrait as a gues book (have a pic of your duaghter..and put a mate fram around it..and have people share their wishes on it)..then hang it in her room...and put a shadow box with streamers from the party, etc next to the signature portrait....

have a craft for the kids to make? just a thought....make scrap books?

Rent a limo for 2 hours, and schedule everyone for a spin (15 minutes, 6 at a time). Its a crowd pleaser, and unforgettable. Of course, the birthday girl arrives in the limo!

try a henna tattoo artist, both temporary and modern they are perfect at birthday parties, also a dunk tank, or a laser tag set in the backyard.

Wow. Kids these days are spoiled. In my day we got Domino's pizza delivered and got to choose two BetaMax movies at the corner video store. But I digress...

One of those Chocolate fountains would be awesome.

4 hours sounds WAAAAY too long for a kid's party. They will be bored entering the 3rd hour. I'd cut the time in half, let them leave wanting more, instead of "whew, it's finally over."
