When you bring a desert to a party, you will feel bad when people dont love it. So I usually try not to bring wht others would cos you know, if 5 people or more brings cake, how much cake can a person eat? Same goes for pudding, cookies, etc. Bring something that will make others say,"Oh, whats this, let me try them!". Eventhough its not delicious, it would be the first to finish cos everybody wana to taste it and you can go back with an empty caserole.

I like to eat dessert in the desert, and on a rainy day I bring the desert to my friends.

It sounds like you are not much of a cook, so here are some simple ideas.

Buy a melon baller, and take a bowl of canteloupe, water melon, honey dew melon balls. If other people are bring cake, this is the perfect thing to go with other people's cakes.

Bring a fruit bowl. Also popular.

If you don't want to cook, buy a cake. Easy but boring.

If you want to be different go to an asian grocery store and buy some vietnamese, korean, japanese or chinese cakes (usually small). Sometimes they are in a packet and sometimes fresh. Even if people don't like, they are different and interesting.

This a cookie bar recipe soooooooooo simple and soooooooo damn good !!!

Layer a cake pan with graham or saltine crackers (yes either cracker will work wonderfully!! ). Melt 2 sticks of butter with 1 cup of brown sugar and a dash of salt. Pour this over the crackers evenly and bake for 17 minutes at 350*. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips or any chocolate chunks you desire. Wait a few minutes for chocolate to melt then spread out over the entire bar. Let cool completely, cut ans serve.

I hope you love them as much as we do. SO simply and very few ingredients !!

This is really easy, and really good! Put all the ingredients in a big bowl, and stir!

1 Can of mixed fruit (with the juice)
1 Bag of small marshmallows
1 Can of Cool Whip
1 Bag of chopped nuts (optional)
1 Bag of shredded coconut (optional)

Mix all the ingredients together until it is all well mixed. Serve cold. If there will be a lot of people, then just double the everything!

It tastes really good, and it is easy and cheap!

Plain cheesecake with assorted fruit toppings and whip cream on the side would be a good idea. Or, you could buy an assortment of cookies and brownies and arrange them on a festive tray. No one need know you didn't bake them yourself. But, if you want to put a little effort into it you could buy cookie dough or mix and bake them yourself and brownie mix and bake it yourself. It would at least cut out a few steps in preparation, but would still be homemade.

Take an Eclair dessert. Simple and elegant and sure to please, plus easy to make. Receipe follows: 1 (16) oz box graham crackers, 2 (33/8 oz ea.) French Vanilla INSTANT pudding, 3 cups of milk(cold), 1 (16 oz) cool whip, 3 TBL butter(melted) 2 TBL cocoa, 2 cups powdered sugar, 2-3 TBL milk, 1 tsp vanilla.
Line 13x9x2 pan with layer of crackers. In bowl whisk or beat milk and pudding till completely dissolved. STIR in cool whip till well blended. Put 1/3 of pudding over crackers then another layer of crackers on top of this, pudding, crackers, till all is used and ending with crackers. (3 layers usually I get) THEN: In med pan over LOW heat combine 3 TBL butter, cocoa and stir till dissolved and smooth. REMOVE from heat and add powder sugar and vanilla and milk. (May have to use an additional drop or so of milk to get spreading consistency) stir well until smooth. Spread over top layer of crackers(Will harden fast, so work relatively fast). Chill at least 4 hrs or overnight. Cut in squares when cold and enjoy. I made this first time about 6 yrs ago for a party and now everyone asks for the reciepe and for me to make it again when I come over. iIhave eaten and made the cracker receipe above too. It is good. I use saltines in mine.
