My friend wanted to kno if hpv goes away so that it cant be spread to others.

There are over 120 types of Human Pappillomavirus to date and they continue to find new ones. Many of them are resistant to treatment. So it very well may be that she will always be a carrier and will pass HPV on to all of her future contacts.

There are good reasons for the old fashioned ideals of marriage and not having multiple partners. If nothing else it certainly limits the spread of STD's in the population.
