If it weren't for the hormones they give the chickens to make them grow fast, it would be ok. If you eat it that much you should probably get the chicken that does not have the hormones. There is nothing wrong with chicken it has protein and iron (in the dark meat). You do need to eat veggies, and mashed potatoes don't count. If you don't like veggies take vitamins. You will be malnutritioned if chicken is all you eat.

Yes, I agree with the other poster, go organic if you are going to eat any animal product. Don't deep fry it - skin it, roast it and let the fat drip off somewhere - use a drip pan. Use the meat as a garnish, not the main dish.

Otherwise, just potatoes? -- If you don't eat vegetation of some sort, you are going to start getting 'backed-up'. Like my friend's husband who hasn't eaten such things in years, who poos every 3 or 4 days and it takes him hours to.... well, you don't want to know the gross details of the 'modern male' that thinks fruits and vegetables are for girls and gay guys, not manly-men.

I am not an true vegetarian, I eat fish pork chicken and the occasional deer. You should get more fruit and vegetables. Veggies should make up more the 60% of your dinner plate.

Try to get organic fed, range free, hormone free chicken. Now a days they sell it in most supermarkets.

Too much of anything is bad for you.

Moderation is key, and variety.... which it sounds like you aren't getting much of.

You should probably include a multivitamin to make sure you are getting what you need.

(and yes, even omnivores should take vitamins... not just us "protein and b12 deficient" vegetarians)
