Just had a unprotected sexual encounter. Now I'm worried of possible STD contraction. Does anyone know of a number I can call for professional advice or what I should to do be tested as soon as possible? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Mature answers only please; save the lectures, I know it was incredibly stupid. That's why I'm looking for help.

She is an ex-girlfriend, and I learned that before our recent encounter she has had two partners.

im not sure if you can be tested right away but my advice is to head to the doc he will know what to do. and definately dont screw anyone between now and when you are tested to avoid passing anything on. good luck
Its funny how many of you idiots didnt even read the question. He already knows he screwed up so give the guy a break. Like everyone hasnt done it before and you dont know the circumstances surrounding the event so gear down! People please read the question before you give your own lame opinion of the person.

You had unprotected sex you have other things to worry about than the immediate testing for an STD. How about bringing an innocent life into the world.
Stay away from street walking hookers of either sex, although many of them, I would hazard, are cleaner and safer than you might imagine, except for the one you may have just "encountered."
I don't know of anything you can do this moment, but get tested for HIV and even then I don't know how accurate that will be, but do it now so you can get a baseline result. Later you may need another test, after a few months or something. Someone should help me out here--don't you have to have the test again in several months after this type of sex?

you should make an appointment with your Doctor as soon as possible. They do all the testing at the Doctor's Office. You will have to wait until the test results come back from the lab (which could take up to 1 week). I hope this girl doesn't get pregnant. Next time, be smart & use a condom. It's better to wait until your in a committed relationship or marriage to have unprotected sex. You'll be lucky if you didn't contract HIV fr.om this girl.
GOOD LUCK with the test results.

Go to a clinic. Most of the time it can take a while for an std to show up on a blood test. Especially AIDS. You will want to take a few tests for that and different times to make sure. Pay attention to your body and whats happening to it. Do not get in denial, then you will never go get tested. Just do it dude.

Well i am not sure for the exact number but i would go online and and type in nerest infectious diese clinic with your town name or look it up in as phone boook. I know this probably one of the last things you would do is ask your parents but i would if i were you.

It all depends upon what kind of unprotected sex you had. Most local clinics can take care of any particulars, escpecially if you want to remain relatively anonymous. If you think it could be AIDS related, there are specialized clinics listed in your phone book

you could go to your local public heath office and get a free test for HIV or go to the doctors office and get tested for everything. Keep a condom in your pocket or glove box, just in case. Hope this helps

Honestly the only thing you can do is get an HIV test - the rest of them you will pretty much wait to see if you get symptoms.
And relax a little - it's actually VERY difficult to get an STD. She wasn't a hooker was she??

Contact your local health department and express your concerns, and they can put you on the right track. Don't feel embarrassed and don't withhold information, your health depends on it. I hope the best for you!!
