I'm going to shih-lin night market this weekend with my friend, who is from Tainan.

There's of course the deep fried crispy chicken. You may also try the oyster omelette that wasn't too bad. For desserts, you could try a stall selling fruit crepe. I didn't really fancy the Shilin food section but if you were to walk around the clothing retail area, there's even nicer street food to savour. I liked the steam crabs....really good! And the spicy fishballs were wonderful. Look out for a stall selling almond tea powder, that's my all time favourite.

Try the fried chicken breast stand called " Da Da Gee Pai", its blue, and you'll most likely bump into a long line..its the best!
