The trinity isn't a biblical teaching.
Can you and your son be the same person? No. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit aren't a person.
Jesus is God's first creature."He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation"-Colossians 1:15.
The Holy Spirit is God's active force. At Genesis 1:2 the Bible states that "God's active force ["spirit" (Hebrew, ru'ach)] was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters." Here, God's spirit was his active force working to shape the earth.
Many centuries before the time of Christ, there were triads, or trinities, of gods in ancient Babylonia and Assyria. The French "Larousse Encyclopedia of Mythology" notes one such triad in that Mesopotamian area: "The universe was divided into three regions each of which became the domain of a god. Anu's share was the sky. The earth was given to Enlil. Ea became the ruler of the waters. Together they constituted the triad of the Great Gods."
The book "The Symbolism of Hindu Gods and Rituals" says regarding a Hindu trinity that existed centuries before Christ: "Siva is one of the gods of the Trinity. He is said to be the god of destruction. The other two gods are Brahma, the god of creation and Vishnu, the god of maintenance. . . . To indicate that these three processes are one and the same the three gods are combined in one form."—Published by A. Parthasarathy, Bombay.
A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge notes that many say that the Trinity "is a corruption borrowed from the heathen religions, and ingrafted on the Christian faith." And The Paganism in Our Christianity declares: "The origin of the [Trinity] is entirely pagan."
WHY, for thousands of years, did none of God's prophets teach his people about the Trinity? At the latest, would Jesus not use his ability as the Great Teacher to make the Trinity clear to his followers? Would God inspire hundreds of pages of Scripture and yet not use any of this instruction to teach the Trinity if it were the "central doctrine" of faith?
Since a perfect human life was lost, no imperfect human life could ever buy it back. (Psalm 49:7, 8) What was needed was a ransom equal in value to what was lost. This is in harmony with the principle of perfect justice found in God’s Word, which says: “Soul will be for soul.” (Deuteronomy 19:21) So, what would cover the value of the perfect human soul, or life, that Adam lost? Another perfect human life was the “corresponding ransom” that was required.—1 Timothy 2:6. That's why Jesus gave his life for us.

Satan publicly called into question both:
God's right & His ability to rule,
and also
man's love for & loyalty to God.
He called God a liar, and basically claimed that man
--as a creation-- was a huge failure of God's.
Only by doing everything just as He has, could Satan's claims be proven false --beyond question, in the minds of every angel & human-- for all time to come. Everyone is being allowed the opportunity to prove themself.
Jesus was not 'invented' ...
He is the first creation of God, & through whom God created all others. He has become King of God's heavenly Kingdom/Government, which will put everything straight once again, in due time.

He didn't invent. He is One and always has been. God does forgive sin, only by the destruction of sin. Without Jesus, we would still be in the dark as to what sin is and how to eradicate it from our thought. It is like a group of people on one side of the boat looking far a dolphin but seeing nothing, and one on the other side yells, "over here," and all the others start to come over. God knows what to do all the time.

God don't invent anything, he Creates, & for the sins of the whole world God needed a perfect sacrifice to attone for our sins, Many said God had Jesus killed, How far from truth are you, it is true that the death of a perfect lamb & that blood attonement was a requirement, Jesus said, no man take my life & no man will raise it up, Jesus said, I lay my life down freely & in 3 days I will raise it up again, Jesus knew if he ask his father to spare his life that God would have done that. But for the scriptures to be fulfilled, Jesus laid his life down. And God did not invent the trinity nor created 3 different persons, But only One Spirit in 3 office works. The catholic Church brought in the trinity about 312 AD

The trinity was once the Spirit Soul and Body. It was taken by the Catholics from another faith. The Emperor Constantine took what he believed and had his newly formed PAGAN church follow that doctrine. The Catholic Church was that Pagan church.
Constantine wanted all of the Christianic churches to form in one grand church so that he could make the Roman empire Christian.
Constantine began Catholicism.
God did not invent the Trinity Nor did he create the trinity.
The Trinity was taught long before Christianity was even born. The trinity is the Spirit Soul and Body. It was then and it remains the same today. Constantine used the Trinity to draw believers of the faith he took it from when he formed the Roman Catholic Church.
Constantine built a "fit my needs" Church so that he could rule his empire under ONE God.

God did not invent the trinity.
It was a pagan belief that Constantine approved of.
It was an idea that led to the death of true followers of Christ like Polycarp.
It also was the main reason for the schism of the catholic church in the year 1050.
The reason for Jesus' sacrifice was to counter Satan's claims that mankind did not want to worship God.
There is of course, a lot more to this, but I'm not here to write a book. . . . .

Invent Jesus??? God has a plan for us and we all have a very important roll in that plan. Now how logical would it be to just forgive us? I have three children, say one of them steels from a store, instead of making them give back the item and punishing them say I just forgive them, what lesson did they learn from that? Jesus willingly did what he did for us because he loves us, that was the only way for us to return back to him. The holy Ghost is given to you by confirmation and is here to help you make right choices.

The Trinity of God The Father, God The Son and God the Holy Spirit is really a metaphor to make humans aware that God has many more facets that we can ever hope to understand. These are three incarnations that appear dissimilar but are three manifestations of the same whole.
Consider if God was like a valuable jewel with cut faces. We as humans can only see three of those faces; there may be another thousand facets which are not only invisible to us, but would even be beyond our understanding. It would be like trying to teach a horse algebra.
The suffering of Christ was sadly necessary. Christ was born in a royal lineage but in the humblest of beginnings. During his preaching years he lived as a transient and died as a common criminal. Why? Because so God could show that He understands the human condition in its full poverty and horror and regardless of wealth and background, salvation would be open to all.

Trinity:
There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Tim. 1:17; Rev. 14:7.)
3. Father:
God the eternal Father is the Creator, Source, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all creation. He is just and holy, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. The qualities and powers exhibited in the Son and the Holy Spirit are also revelations of the Father. (Gen. 1:1; Rev. 4:11; 1 Cor. 15:28; John 3:16; 1 John 4:8; 1 Tim. 1:17; Ex. 34:6, 7; John 14:9.)
4. Son:
God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)
5. Holy Spirit:
God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and the Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the writers of Scripture. He filled Christ's life with power. He draws and convicts human beings; and those who respond He renews and transforms into the image of God. Sent by the Father and the Son to be always with His children, He extends spiritual gifts to the church, empowers it to bear witness to Christ, and in harmony with the Scriptures leads it into all truth. (Gen. 1:1, 2; Luke 1:35; 4:18; Acts 10:38; 2 Peter 1:21; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 4:11, 12; Acts 1:8; John 14:16-18, 26; 15:26, 27; 16:7-13.)

Sorry, but God didn't invent any of that crap. That was created by religious zealots trying to built their little empire. If you want to know God, you need to look within. Try this: read the new testament and imagine that Jesus was only a man, not God. What do you think of Jesus now? It will be a wonderful awakening.
