Well I can not tell you what to believe. But I can tell you how JESUS changed my life. About 10 years ago I was a hateful bitter person who was a fool. I did some things that I am not proud of. I was into sleeping with as many women as I can and also did a Little drugs. I felt so empty doing this. Then A friend ask me to church, I went and over the course of the last ten years, I changed. My friends can not believe I was what I was. They now call be a big teddy bear.

I could go on but if you like to hear more please email me.

I don't know why you should believe anything in particular other than your own internal reasons. No one else can tell you what to believe, although it is useful for others to tell you what they believe and why.

Everyone has to find their own place in the spiritual/religious world. Some need a lot of ritual and people getting together, a sense of community acceptance, all that. Those are the ones who want the more established, organized religions.

Then others, such as myself, figure it is a much more personal thing. I started out as a Christian when I was a child, but circumstances forced me to re-examine that. I explored many other options before hearing about modern witches and neo-pagans and all that, and eventually came to believe I belonged there. I was initiated some 25 years ago, and have not regretted it.

Who says you should? In North America there exists freedom of religion. You can choose any religion you want, or you can choose to be atheist. If you choose one I would recommend Buddhism as it is really the only truly non-violent religion. (There is a branch of Christianity as well although I cant remember the name). Christianity and Islam are both very similar and tell you that anyone who disbelieves the "one" true God should be killed. One thing you should know about Islam, before converting, is that once you are Muslim there is no turning back. If you disbelieve you will be executed in most of the Islamic countries.

Find your core beliefs and work out from there imo. Like do you believe in a spiritual being? Do you believe in more then one? Do you believe xyz just keep it simple and if you can work backwards first like say go I dont drink because I feel its wrong then why is it wrong untill you come to your core belief about why its wrong. Its important to know when to stop and thats a trick because you can over simplify things or get racing thoughts over stuff like this. IT took me 2 relapses *im schizophrenic* to come to the spiritual beliefs I have now but my core beliefs have not changed for a very long time. IF you want to ask me what my core beliefs are just PM me soon :)

They don't give a good reason for the terrible events the globe is going through right now. The Bible does. Or a way out of the current system of things. The Bible does.

You can believe in anything you want, as long as you follow the beliefs of the written word to whatever bible/Koran etc is associated with that religion and not get misguided by radicals and extremists that interpret to suit what they think it means

God wants you to CHOOSE him. That is why He gave you free will. He wants to be your first choice not your last resort. He wants to be your choice.
You don't HAVE to. But if you know the Bible then you also know the consequences of rejecting Him.
I think most religions teach that the rejection of God is the wost thing you can do. Keep that in mind as you debate this question. It is something you have to do a decision YOU have to make. Do you WANT a personal relationship with God?
If so speak to your religious leader, he or she can help you.
Choose wisely.

Read the testaments of the respective faiths Bible, Koran, etc. Study the lives of the founders and how they established their religion Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Muhammad, etc. Look at their history. And from this you will begin to understand the faiths, their similarities, differences; their detriments or enrichment to you and humanity.

That's a good question. I would take it one step further and ask why you should believe any of them. I did, and my life has only gotten better.

For the gentleman above me who claims that finding Jesus "changed him", I would tell him that it is infinitely more probable that he himself changed him. It was he who made the decision to stop doing the things he was doing, no one else. And good for him! Give yourself some credit!
